Ride to the Mountain Festival

A few Sunday's ago we got the gang together for a short ride to the Mountain Festival in Tehachapi, California.

One thing we can count on is a good place to eat when the Law dog is on the ride. I think he has eating in every city, town or village within 300 miles radius of Bakersfield.
We stop and ate breakfast at the Keene Cafe in Keene, California.  The special that morning was pork chop and eggs. Not to bad. I think we will eat there again.
Now if you don't know about Keene, California it is the burial place of the founder of the Unite Farm Workers (UFW) Cesar Chavez. And their headquarters. There are signs inviting you to visit the Cesar Chavez Culture Center. Information on the how tos of starving your ass to death is is probably there at the center. Because Chavez would go on hunger strikes about every other week for one reason or another.
If you are a train fanatic the back road to Tehachapi from Keene gives you a great view of the World Famous Tehachapi Loop. If you are not into trains it is still interest to see.

Interring the town of Tehachapi on Highway 58 is a sign reading The Land of Four Seasons.
The Mountain Festival in Tehachapi on that day was having a car show. If you are a fan of vintage and custom cars this show is for you. There was a few motorcycles.

It was a warm day up on the mountain we kicked back in the shade in the park. With the breeze it was real nice. I think the high in Bakersfield was about 101 degrees that day.
Once another great ride with good people. It dosen't get any better than that.
